Stellantis Faces Another Major Vehicle Recall, Shares Drop Nearly 3%
Stellantis (STLA) shares fell nearly 3% following the announcement of a safety recall affecting 112,859 vehicles in the U.S. The recall, prompted by potential engine failure or fire risks, targets specific Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler models from 2023 to 2025. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration cited debris in the engine as a contributing factor but provided no further details.
This marks the latest in a series of recalls for the automaker, which recently addressed fire risks in 375,000 Jeep SUVs and unintended vehicle movement in over 298,000 units. No solution has yet been identified for the latest issue, compounding challenges for the Chrysler and Dodge parent company.
